Greetings from Scottie Cochrane and Louis Middleman. Returning to Thailand for work and vacation had been a dream of ours since we were last there in early 2007. We were fortunate to do so in December, 2009 - January, 2010, when we spent Christmas in Chiang Mai & New Years in Bangkok. When Louie returned to Fairfax, Virginia, for his work as Senior Editor at Dewberry, I stayed on to teach and consult with my academic library colleagues in the Bangkok area.

Bhubing Palace
Bhubing Palace is the royal winter residence on the mountainside to the west of Chiang Mai built in 1961. The residences for the royal family and for visitors are relatively modest, but refreshingly comfortable looking and the gardens are stupendous.
